Stephen Frank’s Political News and Views observed, “This is just the tip of the iceberg. According to the California Hospital Association (CHA), illegal aliens cost hospitals across the state about $1.25 billion a year in unpaid medical care…The CHA recently stated that $26 million of those costs are absorbed in the eight hospitals in Ventura County alone.”
“Your health care and lives have been endangered by criminals from other nations--we call them illegal aliens. We must demand that every elected official either enforce the immigration laws or resign--illegal aliens are killing us.”
"In 2003, the American Southwest saw 77 hospitals enter bankruptcy due to unpaid medical bills incurred by illegal aliens. A staggering 84 hospitals in California have been forced to close their doors because of the growing crisis. Hospitals which manage to remain open, then pass the unpaid costs onto the rest of us, which translates into more out-of-pocket expenses and higher insurance premiums for all Americans."
Having run a hospital in California for about seven years, I can personally attest to the impact that illegal aliens can have. In our case it was Mexican women who did not have health insurance but knew that state law requires all hospitals to treat anyone who presents to their Emergency Department, regardless of ability to pay.
Our hospital was a small facility and did not have a birthing center, which had been closed about four years before I became the CEO. It was closed because the cost of mainting the required minimum staffing was too great for the number of births we handled for our relatively small community, and the department was generating substantial losses.
Local Hispanic women would wait until they were close to giving birth and then come to the ER, which they knew was required to accept them, regardless of ability to pay. We could see them being dropped off on the parking lot by their husbands or significant others, who would wait outside, while the women walked to the ER. Since we did not have facilities to care for newborns, they were immediately transferred to another hospital that had a birthing center, which was also required to accept them, regardless of their ability to pay.
It was a lose, lose situation that the hospitals were (and I assume still are) unable to avoid.
Testimony by Carol Plato, an executive at Martin Memorial Medical Center in Florida provides graphic specifics about hospitals that are forced to bear the costs of caring for illegal aliens.

By reading “***** Health” website I learnt In actuality, there are two programs at work here: States that chose to administer the plan themselves and states that opted out and asked the federal government to step in.

The solution to this problem is as clear as the nose on your face. Whenever an illegal presents himself to a hospital for treatment they do not leave the hospital at will, but go directly to an illegal alien holding cell with the Get out of Jail free card issued being a one way ticket back home, with fines paid by relatives or work off your fines before they leave jail.
When you are arrested in Mexico for illegal entry or otherwise, you do not eat in jail unless you work. We should be just as politically correct and honor their traditions with similar treatment in America.
But them they would all go home and could not vote for the Democrats who are giving away American wealth with both fists faster than Speedy Gonzales. It’s not the Speedy Arriba, Arriba,,,,It’s Manos Arriba, or hands up American Taxpayer.

Sounds like a plan to me. I worked at a rural hospital in Texas and we saw plenty of these due-any-second pregnant women walk into our ER. Since most of them had received no prenatal care, they could incur even more expenses than other patients. They wait until they are due to avoid being sent home. They want their baby to be a U.S. citizen.
The illegals also bring their children to the ER for colds and ear infections since they don’t have Medicaid. The doctor’s offices won’t see you unless you prove you can pay. The hospital doesn’t have a choice.

When did we lose our common sense? Our Government, has allowed the invasion of 30 million criminals in direct violation of Article IV, Section IV of our Constitution. they force American tax payers to pay Billions to provide Welfare, Prison cells, Educate the invaders children, free medical care,massive document fraud, & are destroying our schools, hospitals, communities, culture while Robbing, Raping, Killing & Assaulting American Citizens WE ARE BEING INVADED! Every Non-representative including obama and holder are not upholding the oath of office! they swore to defend the Constitution! If these clowns were to do their job, this would all be a Moot point!

It’s madness run amok! These progressive liberals and their insane devotion to Political Correctness have left themselves devoid of all intellectual reasoning, not to mention plain common sense. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see why we are facing such enormous problems in our country and going broke in the process. Stop the gravy train for people who don’t even belong in this country and demand that the party be over, period! There ARE states who have had the intestinal fortitude to actually do something only to be shot down by the government and the liberal courts. There are times when it seems as though only the Celestial Courts could override these progressives.

I took my former wife to an emergency clinic in Modesto California because she had fallen down and hit her head. She suffered momentary unconsciousness and was nauseated, so I knew she had a concussion.
When we arrived at the hospital the waiting room was filled with illegal aliens. There weren’t two other people in that area that spoke English! Children were running amok, screaming and yelling, with not a single parent caring to keep them under control. Three of the patients were children with sniffles or a slight cough. We sat there for an hour and a half waiting for her name to be called. I finally went back up to the desk and complained that she should be seen first because of the severity of her injury. The lady pointed to the other people in the room and said, “Do you want to tell them you should go first?” We ended up leaving after sitting their for 2 1/2 hours!
No wonder California is in the financial mess they are in! Yet, they continue to elect morons like Gerry (Moonbeam) Brown for their Governor.

Hospital emergency rooms are supposed to “triage” patients based on the urgency of their condition. Yeah, these illegals will yell and scream when someone gets ahead of them, but if they don’t like it they can leave. I remember a man who came into our ER with an earache and was angry when a patient arriving by ambulance was seen before him. He said he should just go home and call an ambulance to get a better place in line. If people like him actually had to pay their medical bills, he might think twice about using the ER as a doctor’s office.

And then there is the icing on the cake. After that criminal (illegal, undocumented, etc.) gives birth, her child automatically becomes an American citizen. And the blleding hearts will decry that it is wrong to break up a family.

It wouldn’t be breaking up a family when the parents leave, it’s THEIR responsibility to take the minor child with them, keeping the family together.
To leave the child would be abandonment on their part.
The liberals could start sponsoring them, that would salve the problem of them being here on the tax payers dime.
But what was I thinking, my bad.
When have you ever heard of liberal inviting an “undocumented democrat” in to their own home, to feed and care for them, at their own expense?

The ONLY care a hospital is REQUIRED to give any illegal is EMERGENCY care. That is all that is required under the Supreme Court ruling. Sounds to me like they could save most of the money they are now wasting if they had a nurse practitioner in the emergency room to triage the patients. If it isn’t an emergency, people should be directed to a clinic or to the county health department. These illegals are simply gaming the system and we are allowing it to continue!
Since the economy has gotten so tough we, the tough, need to get going, get tough and stop catering to people with sniffles, splinters and a small cough!

Sounds simple, but the hospitals live in constant fear of a lawsuit. There are plenty of personal injury lawyers out there willing to take an illegal’s case. They then accuse the hospital of being racist and find a shyster doctor who will claim that the case was in fact an emergency.

Liberal politicians cannot distinguish between freedom and license.
It is one thing to aspire to come to America in order to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness because you no longer wish to be restrained by a repressive government that does not value human rights. This precludes that you are entering this country in order to attain citizenship and become a productive member of society by supporting our economy through meaningful employment, payment of taxes, learning and accepting our language and customs, and supporting our values, laws, and principles.
It is quite another thing to enter this country with an entitlement mentality in order to get everything for free at existing taxpayer expense and circumvent every system we have so that you can live off of the fat of the land with no expectation of having to make a single contribution of any sort for freeloading and siphoning every available service and commodity free of charge. And, of course, that’s all the better now that we have a President and Senate that thinks that exact same way.

It doesn’t just stop there, it spills over into everything else—schools, housing, food, clothing—it multiplies exponentially as it goes on down the line.
And so, just as there is a difference between freedom and license—there is an equal distinction between opportunity and opportunist. America is the land of opportunity—not a haven for opportunists. While illegal aliens are indeed a big problem—we have aliens in Congress—real space cadets—who are every bit as much of the problem—and we will have to deal with both in order to get the problem resolved.

Virtually everyone in the country knows that the illegals are bankrupting us. FINALLY some of the states are taking matters into their own hands. And what does our wonderful Federal Government do? It brings lawsuits against the states that are trying to do the job the Fed has abdicated.
Eric Holder should NOT resign. He should be arrested, dragged from his office and charged with High Treason. He should sit without bail in a dirty jail cell in a neon-orange jumpsuit, until being moved to the facility (I recommend Leavenworth) where he will spend the next 20+ years.
