Dear Fellow Conservative,

Do not be fooled, the Democrats' disastrous plan to take away your healthcare is not dead in Congress. In fact it is very much alive thanks to one man - South Carolina Congressman John Spratt, who is also the Chairman of Nancy Pelosi's Budget Committee.

Thanks to a loophole written into the budget agreement, authored by Spratt, Democrats could use a process of reconciliation to pass Pelosi's Government Run Healthcare bill without any input from Republicans and without the threat of a filibuster in the Senate.

We cannot let this happen - beginning tomorrow the NRCC will launch an ad alerting Spratt's constituents to this dubious act and asking them to hold him accountable. We are asking you to help us keep this ad on the air.

Recently, five of Spratt's colleagues have retired rather than attempt to defend their blind support of the Pelosi agenda - now the time has come to force Spratt and Democrats to explain their refusal to vote for the best interest of their constituents and our country.

Much like his fellow Democrat colleagues in the House, Spratt has been pandering to a constituency of one - Nancy Pelosi. Join the NRCC in sending Spratt and Democrats a message: stop supporting Nancy Pelosi and do what's best for the American people.

P.S. We are building momentum for the fall. Noted political handicapper Stuart Rothenberg now says he will count 58 Democratic House seats in play, up from 47 in December. Spratt is part of the problem and we must hold him and other Democrats accountable for years of bloated budgets that will saddle our children and grandchildren with debt. We certainly cannot let him duck responsibility for allowing this disastrous healthcare bill to skirt the Democratic process envisioned by our founding fathers.
