The world was turned upside down one year ago tonight — Donald J. Trump won the presidential election, and millions of moonbats’ heads exploded.

Since about 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 8, 2016, these smug, sanctimonious know-it-alls — Hillary, Madonna, Harvey Weinstein et al. — have been so utterly over the top in their behavior that they’ve almost become a cult, maybe even a religion.

The Church of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

It took Christianity centuries to take over the Roman Empire. In a mere 365 days, the Church of TDS has become the official state religion for half the country — the media, academia, the Deep State and the Democrat party, but I repeat myself.

There’s an old saying — If you don’t believe in something, you’ll fall for anything. That sums up the Church of TDS.

In short order, the TDS acolytes have created their own belief system, complete with bizarre rituals, far beyond the stupid pink hats and daily un-friending of anyone of Facebook who dares say something nice about the person they call “Trumpski” or “Drumpf.”

Tonight, the TDS faithful will gather on Boston Common and elsewhere to howl hopelessly at the moon in protest of the first anniversary of the … victory, I mean defeat.

Trump has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Moonbats now make the pilgrimage to LA and line up in front of it, awaiting their turn to take a selfie of themselves giving the finger to … the Trump star.

In Falmouth now, they gather every Saturday morning on the Village Green to hold their anti-Trump signs (“Move to Remove”) and discuss how their trust funds are doing (great!).

Like all zealots they hold certain beliefs that are somewhat antithetical, shall we say, to the facts. Like, Russian collusion.

You ask them, how exactly did Putin steal the election? No one can tell you — I guess it’s one of those sorrowful mysteries like the nuns used to talk about in CCD. But, but … the investigation continues, as they always say on MSNBC. The allegations “remain uncorroborated.” Yes, it’s funny how that works with stuff that never happened. It always … remains uncorroborated.

But you can’t start backslidin’ on the Church of TDS dogma or there will be hell to pay — Sen. Dianne Feinstein has merely pointed out the lack of collusion evidence and she now has a challenger in next year’s Democrat primary.

Call Feinstein a heretic — every religion has its share. Donna Brazile is even worse. She’s a Judas, because she’s stoking what religions hate most — a schism. Hillary vs. Bernie, the free stuff crew vs. the more free stuff crew. Religious wars are always the most savage.

You can do anything if you are born again in the TDS doctrine, because it’s a crusade, or jihad, or whatever you want to call it. Just ask antifa.

You can phone in fake hate crimes on your college campus and then claim you were only trying to “raise consciousness.” Even though almost all of the political violence comes from your co-religionists, you can smugly virtue-signal by putting out a sign that says, “Hate Has No Home Here.”

What is TDS church doctrine, you ask? It’s very simple. If Trump’s for it, you’re agin it, and vice versa. Take Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post, a never Trumper. She absolutely hated the Paris climate accords … until Trump began pulling the U.S. out of them. Rubin pulled an instant 180 — “How dare he!”

But we’re the deplorables.

It’s been a wonderful year, hasn’t it?
